The captal city of the Ancash region and the trekking capital of Perú, Huaraz sits at a of 3,052m altitude, amid the breathtaking snowy mountains and lakes of one of the world’s most impressive mountain ranges - the Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes. It’s home to the tallest mountain in Peru (and the fourth highest in South America), the Huascarán. Located in Huascarán National Park that is a nature world heritage site by UNESCO.
